Game of Thrones, the hit HBO fantasy drama series, is in its fifth season. Last year, HBO announced that the series officially eclipsed The Sopranos as the most watched show in HBO history. It also holds the dubious title of the world's most popular illegal download. But Vox has come up with an interesting theory that the show is really an allegory for humanity's failure to stop climate change. There's even a character who represents the climate deniers.

They even back it up with research from a political scientist at University of Massachusetts, Charli Carpenter. I have to admit I've never seen the show, but it seems like a very plausible theory to me based on the video.
