- How long the brand has been in the industry
- The ingredients used in the gummies
- Verified customer reviews
- Independent third-party lab testing
- Were all third-party lab results easily available to customers
- How and where the brand sources its hemp
- Input from industry experts as well as CBD journalists
- Purity and overall effectiveness of the gummies
- Reputation of both the brand and its products

Why Are CBD Gummies All The Rage?
CBD gummies are basically edible gummy candies that have been infused with cannabidiol, or CBD oil. These edibles are skyrocketing in popularity mainly because they are easy to use, are extremely safe, and are a favorite among parents who wish to give their children CBD in a fun and easy to take form.
There are many different reasons, along with the ones we've listed above, that CBD gummies have exploded in popularity. Some of the main reasons are:
They Have Anti-inflammatory and Analgesic Properties
One of the main reasons why people use CBD is because they are trying to control and alleviate pain and inflammation. Many studies have proven that CBD is effective at relieving many different types of pain. So, while CBD oils are not for everyone, gummies seem to be a variety that works well for most.
When you take a gummy, all of the CBD infused in the edible goes straight to your endocannabinoid system, or ECS, to work with the body's CB1 and CB2 receptors that help to calm the sources and feelings of inflammation and pain. Gummies naturally interact with the ECS in that the CBD in them binds with the body's endocannabinoids and their receptors to help regulate various body systems. The endocannabinoid system, that can also work without the help of CBD, functions to keep the body in a state of balance or homeostasis. Gummies, like other CBD products, can improve the body's natural ability to produce endorphins as well as help to improve the functioning of endorphins. Not only that, but CBD gummies can help in regulating mood, appetite, and sleep cycles.
According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders affect over 40 million adults within the United States. Anxiety disorders include stress, anxiety, and depression. Sadly, if these issues are not properly managed, they could lead to more chronic and irreversible mental health conditions.
Studies are showing that CBD is a natural way to safely battle anxiety disorders. In fact, gummies are one of the number one choices to use against anxiety disorders because they do not have any significant side effects. Ancetodal evidence suggests that gummies provide an almost immediate relief from depression, anxiety, and stress.
Natural CBD has Healing Properties
When looking for the best CBD gummies, it's important that the brand you go with only uses natural ingredients and not anything that's processed or potentially harmful. Even though there are a host of different brands out on the market today, not all of them are created equal.
First, you should look at brands that are all-natural and that contain less than 0.3% THC in them. Next, and most importantly, choose products from brands that use an independent third-party lab to test its gummies and other products. Lastly, go with gummies where companies use the industry-preferred, clean Co2 extraction process to obtain its extracts. As long as this method is used, then gummies will not contain any traces of chemicals.
CBD Gummies Will Not Get You High
Most people, whether they've used marijuana or not, are familiar with the high that is associated with it. That familiar high comes from the compound tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. However, when THC combines with CBD, the compounds work together to create an entourage effect. During the entourage effect, the compounds create synergistic benefits through their interaction with each other. For example, CBD will lower the negative effects of THC so that its positive effects can be more strongly felt.
While most CBD gummies contain no THC in them at all, some do. By law, those full-spectrum gummies must only contain less than 0.3% THC. Since the levels of THC are very insignificant, there is no chance that you will get high from eating a full-spectrum CBD gummy. If you are concerned, then only purchase gummies that are made from 100 percent CBD isolate, as there will not be any traces of THC in them at all.
Fun, Delicious, And Super Easy To Use
CBD gummies come with a host of health benefits. Moreover, they are also fun and extremely delicious. Because they are sweet and are a form of candy, they are easier for people to eat who simply do not like the taste of CBD oils. The flavors of the gummies — which are typically fruity flavors — hide the somewhat earthy flavor of CBD. It's important to note that gummies can come in a variety of different flavors depending on what brand you purchase them from.
When taking CBD oil, you have to be very mindful of the dosage and the frequency. Conversely, when you take gummies, you don't have to be so concerned about dosage. This is why the gummies are a favorite among parents who wish to use CBD as a health supplement for their children. Not only that, getting any child to take a supplement can sometimes be very difficult. Parents are finding that their children want to take the gummies because of the fun shapes and sweet flavors.
Many people with active lifestyles also love to use gummies. Since the gummies are ready to use, they can be eaten in any public place. This, for any active person, is highly preferred over vapes, oils, or pills that will cause them to go off to a private place to use them.
Gummies are Legal in the United States
Thanks to the 2014 Farm Bill that authorized hemp research programs nationwide, authorities relaxed laws on the production, sale, and use of hemp products. Researchers then began to cultivate over 20,000 acres of hemp, which resulted in the production of more CBD products.
In 2018, the updated Farm Bill removed hemp from the DEA's list of controlled substances. Now, both hemp and hemp-based products, which also include CBD gummies, are legal throughout the entire United States. The only caveat is that in order for CBD products to be legally sold throughout the United States, they must contain less than 0.3% CBD.
Are There Any Potential Side Effects?
As with any supplement or medication, there could be some side effects involved. Even though most people would like to take CBD, everyone's body will react differently to it. Therefore, while someone might experience no side-effects at all, there are some who may go through some mild side effects. Some common side effects associated with CBD are:
- Dry mouth
These side effects are typically mild and do not happen to everyone. If you are concerned about experiencing potential side effects, then it's best to begin with a small dose (or one gummy) before you increase to two gummies a day. Once you are on one gummy a day, stay there for about a week to give your body time to adjust to the dose. If you are not feeling the desired effect, then go up to another gummy a day and stay there for a week. Keep in mind, however, that most brands will instruct you to take 1-2 gummies a day.
Are CBD Gummies Safe For Kids?
A recent study conducted in 2019 found that when CBD was given to 155 autistic children ages 18 and younger, more than 80 percent of parents reported either significant or moderate improvement in the children.
Likewise, a 2018 study discovered that in 60 autistic children who were given CBD, more than one third had vast improvements in anxiety. Therefore, both of these studies prove that it is, indeed, safe to give children CBD gummies because they are gentle, effective, and contain naturally occurring antioxidants that help to support the health of the endocannabinoid system.
Our Final Thoughts On Our CBD Gummies List
While CBD oil has skyrocketed in popularity, so have CBD gummies. Not only are gummies perfect for those with active lifestyles, they're also easy to take, fun, and delicious. Multiple studies have also proven that gummies can safely be given to children and are quite effective at handling conditions ranging from anxiety, to depression, sleep issues, stress, chronic pain, and much more.
There are very few side effects associated with gummies, and those that are can be described as mild at best. Gummies can either be full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or CBD isolate. While the majority of them are crafted from CBD isolate, there are some brands that do sell full-spectrum options. Any product that is full-spectrum contains both THC and CBD in it as well as a host of other cannabinoid compounds, phytonutrients, essential oils, and terpenes.
Legally, any full-spectrum CBD product must contain below 0.3% THC. And while there is a minimal amount of THC in full-spectrum gummies, you will not get high from them. Instead, the CBD works with the THC to minimize any negative effects so that the compound's positive effects can be felt. If you have concerns about taking a full-spectrum gummy, then the next best thing is to purchase a gummy that is made solely from CBD isolate, as there will not be any THC in it at all.
Typically, the best way to introduce CBD oil into your system is to start low and go slow. However, with gummies, you do not have to worry about any of that. Most brands direct customers to only take one to two gummies per day. Not only does this take the guesswork out of dosing, it also makes taking CBD a lot easier and a lot more fun.
CBD comes in a variety of strengths and forms. Gummies are just the tip of the iceberg. FAB CBD sells a solid array of products that include full-spectrum oils, a topical cream, a vape pen, CBD-free green superfoods, and of course, gummies. But before you decide to purchase any products at all, it's best to do some research. If you're stuck as to where to begin, our article is a great beginner's guide for you.
While there are a great number of brands out on the market today, not all of them are created equal. It may be exciting to jump right in and purchase some products from the first brand that catches your eye, it's best to slow down, take a moment, and closely inspect and examine each brand that you're interested in to make sure you are purchasing high quality, effective, clean, and organic gummies.
If you become overwhelmed as to which brands to start with, our top three brands are a great place to start. FAB CBD's gummies are organic, clean, effective, fun, and delicious. Also, it should be noted that Premium Jane came in as a very strong second place. But whichever brand you choose, make sure that you have put the time and effort into the research.
Lastly, if you have any questions or concerns about CBD or gummies in particular, don't hesitate to contact your primary care physician or healthcare provider. They will be able to help guide you down the path to natural healing.

John Kerry helped bring the world into the Paris climate agreement and expanded America's reputation as a climate leader. That reputation is now in tatters, and President-elect Joe Biden is asking Kerry to rebuild it again – this time as U.S. climate envoy.
Energy Is at the Center of the Climate Challenge
The effects of climate change are already evident across the globe, from extreme heat waves to sea level rise. But while the challenge is daunting, there is hope. Solar and wind power have become the cheapest forms of power generation globally, and technology progress and innovation continue apace to support a transition to clean energy.

In the U.S. under a Biden administration, long-term national climate legislation will depend on who controls the Senate, and that won't be clear until after two run-off elections in Georgia in January.

But there is no shortage of ideas for ways Biden could still take action even if his proposals are blocked in Congress. For example, he could use executive orders and direct government agencies to tighten regulations on greenhouse gas emissions; increase research and development in clean energy technologies; and empower states to exceed national standards, as California did in the past with auto emission standards. A focus on a just and equitable transition for communities and people affected by the decline of fossil fuels will also be key to creating a sustainable transition.

The U.S. position as the world's largest oil and gas producer and consumer creates political challenges for any administration. U.S. forays into European energy security are often treated with suspicion. Recently, France blocked a multi-billion dollar contract to buy U.S. liquefied natural gas because of concerns about limited emissions regulations in Texas.

Strengthening cooperation and partnerships with like-minded countries will be critical to bring about a transition to cleaner energy as well as sustainability in agriculture, forestry, water and other sectors of the global economy.

Creating a Global Sustainable Transition
How the world recovers from COVID-19's economic damage could help drive a lasting shift in the global energy mix.

Nearly one-third of Europe's US$2 trillion economic relief package involves investments that are also good for the climate. The European Union is also strengthening its 2030 climate targets, though each country's energy and climate plans will be critical for successfully implementing them. The Biden plan – including a $2 trillion commitment to developing sustainable energy and infrastructure – is aligned with a global energy transition, but its implementation is also uncertain.

Once Biden takes office, Kerry will be joining ongoing high-level discussions on the energy transition at the U.N. General Assembly and other gatherings of international leaders. With the U.S. no longer obstructing work on climate issues, the G-7 and G-20 have more potential for progress on energy and climate.

Lots of technical details still need to be worked out, including international trade frameworks and standards that can help countries lower greenhouse gas emissions enough to keep global warming in check. Carbon pricing and carbon border adjustment taxes, which create incentive for companies to reduce emissions, may be part of it. A consistent and comprehensive set of national energy transition plans will also be needed.

The global shift to clean energy will also have geopolitical implications for countries and regions, and this will have a profound impact on wider international relations. Kerry, with his experience as secretary of state in the Obama administration, and Biden's plan to make the climate envoy position part of the National Security Council, may help mend these relations. In doing so, the U.S. may again join the wider community of countries willing to lead.

As we approach the holidays I, like most people, have been reflecting on everything 2020 has given us (or taken away) while starting to look ahead to 2021.
